Material Advantages

Eco-Friendly

Byproduct Inputs
Woodstream uses cellulose fibers that are sourced as byproducts from the forestry and agricultural industry in North America.  We only use waste and post-industrial cellulose fibers.  No forests need to be cut down and no additional crops need to be planted since the food chain isn't interrupted.

Low Carbon Footprint
Woodstream's cellulose fibers require much less energy to extract, transport, and use than their mineral and glass counterparts.  By largely replacing petroleum-based plastics and other energy-intensive materials with renewable fibers, we are reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

Recycled and Recyclable
Depending on the formulation, Woodstream can use recycled plastics as our polymer base.  Moreover, the molded part can be recycled up to three times without significant reduction in mechanical properties.

Chemically Inert
Unlike other wood alternatives, Woodstream's compounds are chemically inert and do not leach hazardous chemicals.
