Overview

Cellulose fiber composites, also referred to as wood-plastic composites or "WPCs", comprise one of the most dynamic sectors in today's plastics industry.  They refer to any organic cellulose fiber that is encapsulated in a thermoplastic matrix.
WPCs have seen incredible growth in markets such as decking, fencing, and other extruded products.  Now, after overcoming some key processing challenges, Woodstream's technology has now opened up the market for injection molding.
The core technology behind Woodstream's composites was discovered and developed at the Canadian National Research Council (CNRC) - Industrial Materials Institute, located in Boucherville, Quebec.
